Golden Hawks Remain Undefeated!
This weekend our U10 Quinte West Golden Hawks earned themselves another 2 big wins!
On Saturday Quinte West took on Ajax-Pickering Raiders at home. It was a tough back and forth battle, but Michael Villeneuve found the back of the net to end the first period. As the second period began, the Raiders opened up the scoring to tie the game, but Colby MacDonald found himself with a goal in the closing minutes of the period. As the third began Wade Robinson added a goal followed quickly by MacDonald with another. Kaden Van Gemeren wanted in on the action and found the back of the net to end the third period. Assits by Benry Prinzen, Lucas Scriver, Lucas Corbin-Miron, and Colby MacDonald. Alex Brant was in net for the 5-1 win.
On Sunday our Golden Hawks traveled to Clarington to take on the Toros. As the first period began Colby MacDonald quickly found the back of the net and right behind him was Wade Robinson with one of his own. The Toros battled hard and earned themselves a goal of their own but in the closing minutes of the period, MacDonald scored again to end the first 3-1. As the second period began Quinte West brought the heat with goals by Kye Ralph (2), Wade Robinson, Lucas Scriver and Connor Williamson. Clarington was able to add a goal of their own to end the period. The third period seen goals by Michael Villeneuve and Colby MacDonald to end the game. Assists by Cullen Bovine, Kaden Van Gemeren, Michael Villeneuve, Lucas Corbin-Miron, Colby MacDonald, Spencer Tamlin, and Kye Ralph. Brent Conrod was in net for the 10-2 victory.
Up next our Golden Hawks take on Whitby Wildcats White at home on Saturday, December 10th at 3:30pm. On Sunday our Hawks travel to Whitby to take on the Wildcats Blue at 2:45pm.
