Golden Hawks Win Big!
The Quinte West Golden Hawks were unstoppable as they hosted the Clarington Toros on Saturday with a 16-2 win!
Our hawks were flying as they started the first period. Lucas Scriver opened up the scoring with a quick goal followed by Colby MacDonald with 2 back-to-back goals. Kye Ralph wanted in on the action by adding a goal and MacDonald found the back of the net again. Blake Gregory worked hard and battled his way through the crowd to earn a goal and Michael Villeneuve added to the lead with a goal to end the first period. Max Taylor started the second period with a pair of goals, but the Toros added a pair of goals to end the second period. The third period began with a quick goal by Taylor, followed by Wade Robinson with a beauty goal. Ralph added to the lead with a pair of goals. Kaden Van Gemeren battled hard earning himself a goal and Mighty Max Taylor closed out the third period with another 2 goals. Alexander Brant was solid between the pipes for the 16-2 victory.
Next up Our Golden Hawks travel to Niagara Falls to compete in the Peter Mancuso Challenge, November 4-6th.
