We're Back!
The U15A Quinte West Golden Hawks dusted off the latest Covid restrictions, with a big 8-0 road win versus the Whitby White Wildcats on February 04th, 2022.

In the 1st period, Eli Davis opened up the scoring with a shot from the blue line (assisted by Wease). Then Wease decided to get in the action with a beauty goal from the slot (assisted by Davy). A couple minutes later Jacob Brummell potted a power play goal from the point (assisted by Carr). Ethan Kenney finished the scoring in the 1st period with a rebound goal (unassisted).

Brody Pilatzke knocked in a rebound goal to open up the scoring in the 2nd period (unassisted). Then Ethan Lord put in a slapper from the blue line (assisted by Mitchell).

A couple minutes into the 3rd period, Jacob Brummel netted his second goal of the night (unassisted). Then Avery Wease finished the scoring with nasty back-handed dangler (assisted by Webb).

Carson Down was between the pipes for the Golden Hawks, taking home the big shutout win.

Of notable mention was the hitting prowess of star Forward Charlie Mooney. Mooney looked like a man on a mission during the game. It was believed that instead of seeing pupils in his eyes, all that could be seen was the silhouette of a Wildcat. By the end of the game, it is safe to say that Mooney checked every player on the Whitby team (minus the goalie). Mooney was asked during the post-game presser, “what does it feel like after you lay out a kid?” He responded with, “it feels great! I am giving them more opportunities to spend time with their mommies because when I am finished with them, they’re going to need them.”
