The World Elite Training Minor Peewee Hawks split a pair of games this past week and had a 12 game unbeaten streak snapped.

On Wednesday the Hawks traveled to Clarington to take on the Toros and walked away with an 8-4 victory. Brendan Reid paced the offence scoring 4 goals and adding an assist. Other goals came from Colby Wiersma, Connor Kokonas, Connor Boates and Cael Hussey. Additional assists came from Boates(2), Gavin Armstrong(2), Matt Hicks, Aiden Haker, Tyson Gregory and Kokonas. Nowl Wallace picked up the win in net.

The all of a sudden hot North Durham Warriors paid a visit to the Duncan McDonald Community Gardens on Saturday and put an abrupt halt to the Hawks 12 game unbeaten streak with a hard working 5-2 win. Hussey and Reid scored for the Hawks while Armstrong picked up two assists.

The Hawks resume their regular season schedule this weekend as they are home against the Pickering Panthers on Saturday at 2:15pm and host the Clarington Toros on Sunday at 3:15pm.
