It was a relatively quiet week for the Quinte West Image Landscape Minor Peewee Hawks. The boys had a lone home game on Sunday in which they were put to the test by The Oshawa Generals. The Hawks came out to a quick start in the first period with a goal by Avery Wease helped by Jack Andrews and Ty Turpin, and a second goal would be netted by Charlie Mooney assisted by Keagan Carr. Oshawa would resist and cut the lead in half in the second period, but Owen Ferguson widened the lead once again when he scored with help from Brock Davy and Sunny Fanjoy. Wease would score twice in the final frame to complete his hat trick with assists by Dex Slone and Mooney. Oshawa would keep things interesting by scoring two of their own in the third, but they didn’t have enough to crack the Hawks winning streak which now sits at 22 games in regular season play. Dryden Riley once again played solid between the pipes . The Hawks will travel to Peterborough this weekend and see Whitby Blue at home before taking a short break for the holidays.
