Hawks Win One of Two
The Rhino Hockey Training Atom 'A' Hawks split their weekend games.
On Saturday the Hawks took an early lead but fell behind in the second period and could not recover falling 7-4 to the Peterborough Petes. Brendan Reid scored 2 goals with singles going to Gavin Armstrong and Jakob Harnest. Assists went to Reid, Armstrong(2), Pearson MacDonald and Quinton Bogart.
The Hawks traveled to Uxbridge on Sunday to take on the North Durham Warriors. After a scoreless first period the Hawks got the offence in gear and rolled to a 5-2 victory. Reid led the offence with 2 goals and 2 assists. Tyson Gregory also scored a pair with Connor Boates picking up the other marker. Armstrong had one assists. Noah Groeneveld was strong between the pipes picking up the win.
The Hawks have one game this weekend when the travel to Whitby on Sunday to take on the Wildcats (Blue).
