Minor Atom Nomads Crowned Silver Stick Champions
The Minor Atom Nomad Hawks were crowned champions in the Northumberland Silver Stick regional tournament this past weekend.
The Hawks would score 20 goals throughout the tournament while only allowing 4 against. The team tournament record stands as 4-1-0 and they walked away victorious in their final game versus Innisfil Winterhawks. Both Mason Taylor and Owen Curran, the goalies were phenomenal all weekend earning the top two ranked goalies of their division in the tournament, only allowing 2 goals apiece. Curran had 2 shut outs. Joey Nieman lead the entire Minor Atom division in points followed by Cam Slone and Sullivan Tait. As a result of the teams performance they have qualified to participate in the Silver Stick Finals in Newmarket in January.
