Hawks Take 3 of 6 Points To Wrap Up Season
The Rhino Hockey Training Minor Atom Hawks wrapped up their regular season this week with a win, loss and a tie.

On Wednesday the Hawks faced the first place Whitby Wildcats (Blue) and could not get rolling in their first game after the Christmas break falling 7-0.

Friday night the Hawks hosted the Kingston Canadiens and came out with a 4-4 tie in a back and forth game. Tyson Gregory led the offence picking up a hat trick while Pearson MacDonald supplied the other marker and added an assist. Cooper Martin was solid in net.

The Hawks saved their best effort of the week for the last game of the regular season and defeated the Oshawa Generals 3-1 on Saturday. After a scoreless first period the Hawks opened the scoring in the second on a goal from Eli Kenney. Connor Boates and Aiden Haker picked up the assists. The Generals evened the game a few minutes later and the teams were once again tied at the end of the second period. The home team scored two unanswered goals in the third and despite having to kill off three penalties in the last five minutes of the game they held on for the 3-1 win. Gregory and McDonald supplied the goals in the third period with Quinton Bogart and Gavin Armstrong picking up assists. Alex Bisset had a strong game in net and picked up the win.

The Hawks are off to Peterborough to participate in the Liftlock tournament this weekend before opening the OMHA playdowns against the Clarington Toros.
