Hawks Tie One & Lose 2
The Rhino Hockey Training Minor Atom Hawks picked up a single point this past week.
On Wednesday the Hawks traveled to Kingston to take on the Canadiens and despite taking a 2 goal lead to the third period they only came away with a single point in a 4-4 tie. Scoring for the Hawks were Quinton Bogart, Tyson Gregory, Phoebe Mooney and Connor Kokonas. Gavin Armstrong picked up the lone assist. Cooper Martin earned the tie in net.
On Saturday the Hawks played host to the Oshawa Generals and were on the wrong end of a 4-2 score. Connor Boates scored both goals while assists went to Gregory(2), Armstrong and Matt Hicks. Alex Bisset played well in net.
The Hawks traveled to Port Perry on Sunday to take on a determined North Durham Predators squad. The offence never got going and the Predators walked away with a 7-2 victory. Bogart and Pearson MacDonald supplied the goals for Quinte West. Assists went to Kokonas, Colby Wiersma and Boates.
The Hawks travel to Peterborough this Saturday to take on the Petes before hosting the Whitby Wildcats (Blue) on Sunday.
