Hawks Win One of Three
The Rhino Hockey Training Minor Atom Hawks picked up one win in three games this past weekend.

On Friday night the Hawks came out strong scoring 3 goals in the first four minutes and held on for a 5-3 win against the Kingston Canadiens. The offence was led by Tyson Gregory who had 3 goals and 2 assists and Connor Boates who had 2 goals and 3 assists. Other assists went to Gavin Armstrong (2), Matt Hicks and Jakob Harnest. Alex Bisset picked up the win in net.

On Saturday the Hawks again came out strong and held a 3-1 lead at the end of one period before eventually falling 6-4 to the Clarington Toros. Scoring for the Hawks were Gregory(2), Colby Wiersma and Gavin Armstrong while assists went to Quinton Bogart, Aiden Haker and Armstrong.

On Sunday the Hawks traveled to Peterborough to take on the Petes. Again the team came out strong and twice held 2 goal leads before giving up two late goals to fall 5-4. Hawks goals were scored by Wiersma, Harnest, Gregory and Pearson MacDonald with assists going to Connor Kokonas, Owen Vis, Armstrong, Boates and Harnest.

The Minor Atom Hawks have another busy week as the travel to Kingston to take on the Canadiens Wednesday night before hosting the Oshawa Generals on Saturday and then they wrap up the weekend with a trip to Port Perry to take on the North Durham Warriors.
