Minor Bantams Advance to OMHA Semi Finals
The Scaletta Group Hawks have advanced to the OMHA Semi Finals with a 3-1 Series win over Oshawa

The Hawks lost the opening game of series at Home on Saturday, 4-3 in OT, but bounced back to win three straight, including two games on the road in Oshawa.

In game 2, the Hawks got on the scoreboard first and managed to hang on for a 5-3 win.

In Game 3, the Hawks found themselves down 2-0 early, but bounced back to tie the game and then take over the lead mid way thru the 3rd period.  The Generals with their goalie pulled, tied the game up 4-4 with just over a minute to go.  The Hawks would not be denied this time though, scoring just seconds into the overtime period.

In game 4, the Hawks again surrendered the first goal of the game, but rebounded and built a 3-1 lead going into the 3rd period.  The Generals made it close late in the game on the power play, but the Hawks were able to hang on to a 3-2 win and clinch the series.

Next up for the Hawks is the Barrie Colts.  Barrie finished first in the York Simcoe League with a 20-4-3 record with 93 GF and 42 GA.  The Hawks finished first in the Lakeshore League with a 22-2-3 record with 139 GF and 47 GA.  It should be a very close and exciting series.

Go Hawks!!
