Hawks Beat Panthers
The Tyke 7 Trenton Nomads put forth a full team effort to hand it to the Pickering Panthers with a score of 9 to 2.
The teams ended the first period scoreless but Tyler MacDonald would open up the scoring for the Hawks 2 minutes into the second. Joey Nieman, Ethan Lesser, Cam Slone and Seth Scaletta would all add goals during the second while Pickering tried to keep in the game by scoring two.
In the third the Hawks were relentless adding another four goals. Malcolm Brooks, Rhys Lawrence, Slone and Kale Tawse would contribute to widen the margin.
Assists were made by the squad by putting into action all the moves they've been practicing this season. Assists from Tawse, Sullivan Tait, Lesser, Nieman (2), Gerald Whaley, Scaletta (2), Malachi Hoornweg and Lawrence.
Mason Taylor and Nora Jones saw lots of action in net but remained solid throughout.
Hawks travel next weekend for both games to face Ajax and Oshawa.
