2020/21 Return to Play Registration Due Aug. 28
Submitted By Kim Thurston on Sunday, August 23, 2020
We would like to thank you for your patience as we prepare our Return to Hockey plan and ensure that we can all return to the ice safely.

We would like to share some details about what the process for registration will be and what our season plan currently looks like.  Please know that our plans are still pending approval from OMHA, the City of Quinte West and our local public health unit and we have started this process in hopes of a return to ice on September 14th.

Here is what we know:

1) Players who were registered with us last year are welcome to register with us again this year.  If this is not your home centre, you may choose to return to your home centre.  If this is your home centre and you played somewhere else last year, you may choose to register here for this season.

2) There will be no transfers approved this year, unless you are moving and QWMHA will become your new home centre.

3) Players may only play in one minor hockey association.  i.e. female players may only play in either OMHA or OW not both.

4) Players that are playing in unsanctioned leagues may only register with us provided the unsanctioned league is completed by August 30th.

5) There will be no representative hockey, so there will be no tryouts until determined by OMHA/OHF.

6) Registration will be completed in blocks for the season.  Each player must register in the Hockey Canada Registry as per usual and then complete the online form related to each block we are entering.

7) Ice time and number of participants on the ice is limited.  This does put us in a bind so registration will be accepted based on the following as we enter each block;
a) date player has registered in the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) - should be completed now
b) date player has registered using the online registration form indicating preference for tier 1 house league or tier 2 house league - completed by August 28  Your request for placement in tier 1 or tier 2 is not guaranteed.
c) payment in full.  *families who need additional time or funding should contact our office administrator as soon as possible to discuss Payment due by September 6 but please do not send until you are notified as to what tier your player will be in
d) Players registering after the deadlines and not meeting date of registration order will be placed on a waiting list and contacted as space becomes available

8) Once notified as to what tier you will be in, payment can be made by e-transfer only to [email protected]  Transfers are set up for auto deposit so no password is required.  Please specify for whom you are paying for in the notes when you send so that payment can be allocated accordingly.

9) In the event we are paused at a phase or it is cancelled there will be no refund for the block we are currently in.  No player may move to the next block unless the previous block is paid in full.

Registration Fees for Block 1 (September 14-October 11)

Please note the first block will cover fees for insurance with Hockey Canada/OHF and OMHA of $50.00 and a sweater fee of $20.00.  This is a one time fee and will be applied to new players as they register for each block.
